For educational organizations

                                                                             For educational organizations

Independent accreditation introduces into the education system of the Kyrgyz Republic a fundamentally new approach to assessing the quality of educational institutions and their educational programs, based on qualitative indicators, taking into account the views of stakeholders - employers, students, graduates, parents.

Accreditation is an external quality assurance process used on a voluntary basis by a higher education institution to assess the quality of its performance in order to ensure and improve quality. Obtaining the status of an accredited educational organization or educational program from a recognized accreditation agency is a confirmation of the university's desire to meet the standards and quality criteria of the accreditation agency, as well as the intention to undergo periodic external assessment for compliance with the agency's quality criteria.

Cooperation with the recognized Agency for Quality Assurance in the field of education " EdNet " will allow higher education institutions through the accreditation procedures:

• " See yourself from the outside" and assess your competitiveness in the labor market and educational services;

• Identify your strengths and weaknesses for further improvement;

• Obtain practical recommendations from experts to correct weaknesses;

• Develop a strategy and corrective plan for the institution of improvement;

• Increase your income through targeted orders from employers and attracting new students based on the improvement measures taken.

To obtain the status of an accredited organization or program, an educational institution must go through the main stages of the accreditation process.

An educational institution first of all needs to prepare materials ( self-assessment report ) that will demonstrate the achievements in the university and the level of quality of the university's activities. Further, the university undergoes an expert assessment of the prepared materials by conducting interviews with representatives of interested parties. Then a decision is made on whether the university will be granted accreditation or not. The Accreditation Agency is responsible for universities that have been granted accreditation status. The agency knows that students, employers, and parents believe that HEIs are thoroughly assessed before being granted accreditation status. The agency also passed the procedure of periodic external evaluations to ensure the effectiveness of its activities.

Usefulness of accreditation for an educational institution

Quality education

Accreditation is a tool for measuring, assessing the quality of education that a student of a higher education institution receives. Through the accreditation process, students, alumni and their parents can feel confident that the education they pay for is valuable and worth the time, money and effort.

The status of an accredited university / program indicates that the university meets the quality standards set by the agency in relation to teaching staff, curriculum, administration, student services, information resources and the financial condition of the university. Accreditation status of the university can be a factor in the development of the university, increase the number of trained students, attracted academics and university staff, which, of course, have a positive impact and the financial position of the institution.

Transfer based on accumulated loans

The dynamics and intensity of life has its impact on the education system. Many students studying at certain universities wish to continue their studies at other universities, in another city or region. More often than not, students want their accumulated course credits to be credited on transfer in order to avoid repeating the course, which wastes time and money. Accreditation is an important factor in deciding whether to admit such students with recognition for their loans. Most universities do not accept loans from universities that do not have the status of an accredited university. Students of accredited universities, thanks to the accreditation status of the university in which they studied, can easily transfer to another university with the condition of offsetting their previous credits.

 Success in work

Educational institutions can be attractive not only for students and their parents, but also for employers, as most employers prefer to hire candidates who have received their education in high school with the appropriate status of accreditation. Many employers, when deciding on the appointment of an employee to a new position, when promoting him, also look at whether the employee has completed training at an accredited educational institution or not. The status of an accredited university also influences when sending an employee to training, when the employer needs to decide whether it is worth covering the costs of his training or providing assistance to employees wishing to continue their education.

In addition, in accordance with the Law "On Education" there are state requirements for higher educational institutions to pass accreditation in order to confirm the quality of educational services provided by this or that higher educational institution.
